About The Event

Blacksmith Basics with Kevin Shyne, of Yankee Metalsmiths & Assemble Makerspace at Lancaster Fairgrounds

An introductory session with the group and a minimum of 4, three-hour hands-on sessions at the forge. During the course, we will touch on many of the different blacksmithing techniques like bending, tapering, fullering, punching holes, drawing material out, patina and metal finishing techniques. We will then use these skills to create decorative and functional iron art! Projects will include scrolls, decorative wall hooks, a leaf keychain fob, and bottle openers.

There is no experience needed for this workshop.
